Wayne Rooney v Michael Gray!

Fight, fight, fight, fight!!

It appears Wayne Rooney is a hot shot in more ways than one as he was caught up in an 'incident' with Blackburn Rovers defender Michael Gray last Saturday night.

It seems like Rooney, with fiancée Coleen McLoughlin in toe, was approached by 32-year-old Gray in the Panacea Bar and Restaurant in Manchester and it is claimed the 32-year-old made some offensive comments to the ladies in Rooney's party.

Rooney's spokesman said: 'Wayne asked him to go several times. It was a brief incident. Wayne and Coleen were enjoying a night out with three other couples when Michael came up to their table uninvited.' Adding: 'As far as Wayne is concerned, he bears no ill-feeling towards Michael.'

The BBC quote a Blackburn spokesman saying: 'Michael took steps to make manager Mark Hughes aware of it. Michael had the opportunity to make a comment but he doesn't want to get involved in it.'

Greater Manchester Police said no incident was reported.

Why would Gray just "walk up" to Rooney and start abusing him?
Salford Red
Believe me. No-one in Sunderland is either suprised or upset by Gray's behaviour. Nothing that happened here is new in Michael Grays profile except it involved Wayne Rooney. This guy has a history of drunken aggression and was seen on a weekly basis in Sunderland City Centre. He is a disgrace and embarassment to Sunderland. Well done Roono!!!!

Right, well that explains it then! Just seemed a bit odd for one player to turn up and go "oi...Rooney you *****wit come on then!"
Salford Red
