'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Time to Celebrate

Today saw Darren Fletcher make his first Premier League appearance for more than a year.

Side-lined with his horrific bowel condition, Darren has fought back and the goal he scored today will have given him great delight, even more so when you consider that Darren also put in a 90 minute stint in our Champions League game against Galatasaray.

Speaking about the return of a much under-valued player, Sir Alex Ferguson remarked, post the 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers,

'The boy has had a long journey back and he has showed he is back to his best.'

Welcome back Darren and congratulations on the goal.

It's great to have one of our key players and arguably our best midfielder back. He's such an unsung hero but one who many don't realise will make the difference between us winning the league or losing it. I really thought he wouldn't make it back and am chuffed to be proved wrong.

Spot on famous he really is a case of don't know what you've got till it's gone. A few years back a couple of the lads in the pub would go ballistic if they saw his name on the teamsheet. Their singing a different tune now though.
