In for Zaha?

In for Zaha?

One Sunday red-top is carrying the inference that Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to land the Crystal Palace whizz-kid Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha, capped by England in the disastrous 4-2 defeat to Sweden, has been on the radar of many Premier League clubs but it is being inferred that Sir Alex is keen to get hold of the talented youngster by out-bidding all the other clubs and also offering the 20 year-old a better contract than anyone else.

A source, quoted in the red-top, has supposedly commented about United`s interest,

"Sir Alex now thinks Zaha has the skill and bottle to play for United - and he wants him badly."

All that remains to be seen is if anything actually materializes over the coming months.

The lad looked great against us and is clearly better than the championship though I'm sceptical as to what level he is actually suited for. We need to be wary of a Tarabt or Clyne, who where the best in the championship for their respective positions but have perhaps found their level premier league. Zaha will go one of two for whoever tries to buy him, a sensation or flop, I don't think there's an in-between.
