'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Four Into Two Doesn`t Always……….

With four quality strikers on our books in Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, Sir Alex Ferguson has a job on his hands to keep everybody happy.

There`s only so much rotation you can get away with before an element of frustration creeps in.

Therefore, whenever a piece of speculation rears its ugly-head about an outside interest in one of these four you have to give some credence to it, especially if one of the big-guns of European football are involved.

Therefore, perhaps we shouldn`t dismiss the rumours linking Jose Mourinho with a move for our Mexican striking sensation Javier Hernandez, even more so when it`s also rumoured that Jose is keen to involve our long term target Karim Benzema in a deal.

One to keep an eye on or is it just trash talk from the tabloid press?

It's a load of bollox. I love Hernandez but I wouldn't be mad enough to say no to a swap deal for benzema. Hernandez is a great poacher, the best in the league in my opinion but a poachers overall game is very limited. He's better than most in the sense that he stretches the game for us and creates space for others to play in with his off the ball runs and he's capable of holding up the ball and dragging players out of position prefer benzema is the more complete footballer and can provide moments of magic. Reality is though he's a first teamer in Mourinho's system and if anyone is going to leave it will most likely be higuain which even then is very unlikely. If Real Madrid were truly interested in Hernandez it'll be to play the same role he does at united, a striking option, unplayable when on form but largely a squad/super sub role. Then again I couldn't see Fergie selling him unless we got a pretty penny or a good player in return
