Just One More?

Just One More?

That desire to once again lift the famous Champions League trophy burns furiously inside Sir Alex Ferguson.

With Liverpool overhauled, in terms of top-flight title wins, Sir Alex still has this burning resentment that they have more European Cup triumphs to their name than United have.

On the back of our fourth straight win in the group stages, a win that has us qualified as group winners already, Sir Alex has re-iterated his desire to move one step closer to the big-guns of European football, in terms of European Cup wins, remarking to the media,

"In terms of history of our clubs, we should have won more and I want to win it again and get into the bracket of winners like Liverpool - our biggest rivals - Bayern Munich and Ajax."

"I think AC Milan and Real Madrid have got separated from the rest of the bunch, but that definitely drives me on a bit."

"I get really frustrated when I think about the opportunities we have had to win it, but you can`t be greedy. You look at my career and I have won two European Cups and a Cup Winners Cup and I am proud of that."

It remains a fine achievement and Sir Alex deserves his accolades as the greatest manager the modern game has seen, but it would seem that there`s no way he`ll even contemplate retirement until he has that third Champions League win under his belt

With the teams and wealth of talent we've had down the years we really should've won it more times alas this is football.
