Shawcross Latest!

Speculation recently saw Manchester United linked with a possible move for the Stoke City defender, Ryan Shawcross.

Shawcross, as you are all aware, started his career at Old Trafford before being deemed a snot up to our standards before being moved on to the Potteries club.

Since then the twenty-five year old has done his utmost to prove Sir Alex Ferguson that he called this one wrong.

With eighteen months of his contract left, Shawcross has a difficult decision to make, does he seek a move to one of the clubs said to be interest in him, namely ourselves or Tottenham?

Or does he put pen-to-paper on the six year deal Stoke City are said to be offering him to ward off interest?

With he plethora of teams supposedly interested in him then surely he won't stay at stoke? No offence to the lad but if he do it goes to show how ambitious he is and will go to show he never had the ambition to be a united player anyway. Wouldn't mind seeing him back at the club as whilst he's a good defender now I feel with better players around him he could be so much better and we do have some serious injury problems in defence every year. However, it's whether he's up to the task of challenging for a first team role rather than being a guaranteed starter.
