Could Manchester United be set to raid Scandinavia for a defender?

One red-top carries the inference, this morning, relating to a possible move for Vegard Forren

Forren, 24, currently plays in the Norwegian League for Molde, a club we have some affection for seeing as they are managed by the United legend Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

In fact, Forren, who is, reputedly rated in the £4 million bracket, comes highly recommended with Ole quoted as having remarked about a possible career with United,

"He could play for United, but I don`t need to tell him that."

All that remains to be seen is if anything happens over the coming months.

Doubt it. Can't really take solksjaers word for it either as he's not exactly going to tell his player he's not good enough. We've seen first hand what's consider a quality player from molde in the form of diouf.
