We Were Due a Win

We Were Due a Win

After so many instances of bad luck, did luck swing in our favour on Sunday?

As we reflect on what was a magnificent achievement and becoming the first side to defeat Chelsea, in the Premier League, this season, there`s a feeling of luck swinging our way after being on the wrong side of decisions on previous visits to Stamford Bridge.

Michael Carrick, probably one of several key individuals that are likely to be rested for the Capital One Cup fixture, this Wednesday, has spoken to the media about Sunday and how he believes that we were due a win down in West London, with the midfielder remarking,

"Over the last three or four years we`ve had some really great performances there and not got what we deserved."

"We`ve played some great stuff there and the performances have been spot-on."

"So to come away with no wins has been disappointing. We felt the next win was close."

"We had some decisions go our way and it`s been tough for us here, but maybe that turned it around for us. We`ll take what we can get."

"After not winning there for a long time against our biggest rivals, we wanted to put it right."

And we did, let`s hope we can make it two on the bounce this Wednesday and really stamp our authority over our West London rivals.

Don't worry you won't have Clattenburg from next season onwards. We would spank your butts as usual at Bridge. Till then enjoy the referee's win.

Spot on famous unbelievably bad losers. Pull you heads out of your arses lads you had one bad decision go against you. First red is indefensible as young was taken out by the last man read the bloody rules. The second was later than it should have been after his assault on cleverly you were lucky to have Torres on the pitch. Unfortunately for you the ref missed a offside goal not sure how that is clattenburgs fault seeing as the linesman should have flagged it.
