Should it Have Been Three?
There`s no denying that the fixture yesterday, against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, ended in a feisty fashion.
After Javier Hernandez had sneaked the winner, from what appeared to be an offside position, the game nearly got out of hand.
One particular incident saw John Obi Mikel and Antonio Valencia clash, a coming together that saw Valencia receive a yellow card, an incident that left Sir Alex Ferguson puzzled and prompted the following outburst as he conducted his post match interview
"I thought it was a bit tasty when Chelsea were down to nine men and I can`t understand the booking of Antonio because he was right through and there was no reason for him to go down."
"I think he was definitely taken out and he`s been booked for it because it was Mikel and he had already been booked."
"I think that`s the reason the referee had to do that because he would have had to send Mikel off."
An interesting view but, on this occasion, I thought it was all much ado about nothing, how about you?

The ref had not handed us 3 points - he reffed poorly - but that is not down to us - we won the game - yes we had the rub of the green and the luck - but this is karma for past matches......

If Torres second yellow wasn't a yellow (still can't work out how it's an argument seeing as he was fortunate to be on the pitch at that point anyway) then Valencia's yellow wasn't a yellow but yet another bad decision by the ref during the game against us which goes unnoticed simply because we won.

@niteworlok,comon get your manutd blinkers off,the ref handed you the 3points..your team played like crap(barrin the openin 15min) and were gettin roasted till the ref came to your rescue..even with 10men u never looked threatenin,guez what could have happened if it was the other way round...8-2 anyone??

@ken4cfc - god almighty - don't you read posts I reply to - I already said we were lucky - but how the eff can you say he handed us 3 points - did he go into the away dressing room at half time and say 'hey chaps I am going to send Ivanovic off for fouling Young when Young is clear through on goal, oh and I am going to send off Nando for taking a dive (Evans did foul Nando but the pretty boy could have easily stayed on his fight - unlike Young as Young had his legs taken out from behind!) and let Chica score an offisde goal' - NO he effing didn't so take the result and shut up whinging about it - it's funny some of you guys only ever come on this forum when Utd get a couple of lucky decisions and we win - how about when you get all the decisions?? Do you see all the Utd fans posting in your site about it? NO we just get o with it and grumble a bit between ourselves - not come on another site trolling.....

United fans are so pathetic Y'all complaining about torres challenge on cleverly? he try to go for the ball but wrong caught cleverly and i think he was rightly book for that.. did y'all remember how EVAN kick Drogba out of this world couple of season again and drogba end up getting a card for it....Fergie is a pathetic and the earlier he retire the better, his influence on english football is appealling and if this doesn't stop the EPL will suffer believe it or not.. Seria A was once GREAT where is it now? time will tell

Torres should have walked for that tackle on Cleverly as should of Evans for that tackle on Drogba. Torres should have walked long before he did though so why your all bitching about a decision that should have been made much earlier anyway I do not know

Still maintain the only lucky decision we got was hernandez's offside. Cheslea were lucky Torres wasn't sent off sooner as I doubt they would've mounted a comeback. Chelsea are lucky Mikel didn't get a second yellow for his foul on Valencia. Chelsea are lucky Torres will only get a one match ban rather than the three match ban he deserves. Ivanovic was a just a red card so there's no luck involved there. Stop being so pig headed and see it for what it is and stop bitching about calls that went against you when you get a lionshare of calls go for you.

There will be no Clattenburg or Webb come Wednesday, the FA are already reeling from the loss of credibility of the EPL, internationally ppl are already questioning if the EPL is indeed the best in the world or does it belong somewhere with WWE etc...point is don't expect any dubious calls, let us just have a good game, that will indicate if United really deserved to win, or if Clattenburg was truly MOTM on Sunday.
