'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rafael Praise

Tonight, when Manchester united entertain Braga in the Champions League, United supporters will be hoping that we can continue our impressive start to a campaign that many would like to see end in an appearance in the Wembley final.

One player hoping to play a part in a side that may have a shuffled look about it considering we have an important fixture with Chelsea this weekend, is Rafael

The young Brazilian defender has been in impressive form and there is the suggestion, in the camp, that the old impulsive streak that often hampered his progress has been reigned in.

In fact the new, mature, Rafael has received some glowing praise form the gaffer, praise that appears in the tabloid press this morning as,

"He was our best player on Saturday."

"He`s maturing and learning all the time. He`s blessed with great enthusiasm, skill and speed."

"Maturity brings that together and he`s done that over the last two years."

He was quite impulsive in the past, committing himself, but he`s been fantastic."

And long may that progress continue we say!

Still think his got a lot of developing to do though he has come on leaps and bounds and will be a class act, hopefully his brother can do the same I'm sure he could if he wasn't so injury prone. Him and Valencia's link up play is brilliant and Rafael is a major attacking threat for us carving out some real great chances. Defensively is where his got to develop but I think it's more to do with gaining experience and seeing threats developing.

Defensively needs to improve he's great going forward but has a tendency to forget to track back now and again. Saw it last night getting too engrossed with the attack and being caught out of position when they broke because of it. Was particularly highlighted last night because of lack of wingers to cover for him when he storms forward
