Old Boy to Return?

Old Boy to Return?

One rumour we`ve stumbled across relates to an old-boy possibly returning to Old Trafford.

The rumour speculates that Manchester United are keen to bring Ryan Shawcross back to Old Trafford after having sold him to Stoke City in 2008.

However, the rumour does infer that United will have competition for his signature from the London duo of Chelsea and Tottenham.

Considering our constant injury problems and arguable lack of CB's (with Smalling more of a RB in my eyes and Jones more of a CDM) and Vidic and Ferdinand not getting any younger I would welcome him back. He has done incredibly well for himself since leaving and could go on to be even better under a better coaching system and with other players around him to learn from. Not too sure he'll be overly keen though to go from being in the stoke starting eleven to a squad member at ourselves.
