Owen Hargreaves Update

STILL news about England Midfielder Owen Hargreaves rumbles on so we here at Vital Man Utd thought we best keep you updated.

Hargreaves himself has said that he won't dwell upon the fact that his transfer was blocked by his club, and will return to Champions League action with Bayern Munich after England's game in Skopje on Wednesday. However a massive point to note is his comments about spending time in the UK:

'What happens at Bayern? I'll be there on Thursday and then I'll take what happens then. At the moment I'm enjoying being here with the England lads.'

Players are coming out of the woodwork to heap praise on Hargreaves, who was very often, until the World Cup a target for the England boo-boys for poor performances. Mr 'Super Goals' Lampard has now commented with a classic line: 'I always knew Owen was a good player.' Nice one Frank ;-)

Meanwhile, news coming from Old Trafford this time! The clubs CEO David Gill has claimed that United are still interested in Hargreaves, and the fact the player wants to move to Manchester means that United will certainly not be giving this one up easily:

Gill Told BBC Radio5 that 'Bayern have intimated to me that, if the situation should change, they will contact me'

So Hargreaves likes England, he likes Manchester United, we still want him. Now to convince the Germans!

Would be good 4 you but not at a carrick fee. I believe a striker should be top of fergie's list

But will he rot in Bayern's reserves? I doubt it!
sandgroanun

Hargreaves would IMO be a superb signing for you and for England. He has come a hell of a long way in the last year and will be an England regular for many years now. Hope you get him.
