'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Charges to Come!

Those glorious days in the summer when the good sportsmanship associated with the Olympic Games breathed new optimism into the world of sport seem a long while ago.

Already the sport billed as 'the greatest show on earth` has blown away that optimism with its seedy nature, racist talk and Football Association leveled charges.

With the Chelsea duo of John Terry and Ashley Cole having felt the force of the FA, there was the possibility that our own Robin Van Persie would be drawn into the seedy world of FA charges.

The Newcastle manager, Alan Pardew is adamant that Van Persie should face a charge for an apparent elbow on his player Yohan Cabaye, but thankfully the FA has ignored his requests and Van Persie remains a free man.

Hahahahaha! English football is SO BENT in you're favour you don't even realise it until the extremely rare occasions when things actually go against you. This is very similar to the Rooney elbow on McCarthy of Wigan - each player knew exactly what they were doing, and they KNEW they'd go unpunished. Shocking. And bent as a nine-bob note, and you know it. My only hope is that one of your players gets elbowed at some point during the season so I can listen to you all moan and remind you how hypocritical it all is.

if this was Ballotelli EVERY PAPER, and News organisation would be up in arms, and screeming for him to be banned for life.... remember the hoohaa over the Spurs stamp? Mario got 3 matches retrospectively, (or trial by tv)and Van persie gets away scot free for his attempt at GBH, SCANDALOUS..... still, what goes around comes around

Getting beyond the joke now he hardly touched him. It was a bit of a trailing arm between two lads fighting to get the ball first you see it week in week out its not like RVP properly swung at him. Cabaye had to think about it before he hit the deck soft *****e football is a contact sport after all. Don't think it would have any different response from the papers if it had been Ballotelli cityman thats just paranoia stemmed from not knowing what the loon will do next.

It was a deliberate and pre-meditated smack in the face of an opponent. What bit of that do you cretins not get? Doesn't matter how much contact there was, it was a red-card offence. As I said above, I sincerely hope it happens to one of your players during the course of the season and the perpetrator walks (as unlikely as that might be without the red shirt for protection) so I can listen to the hypocritical moans about how the referees are all out to get you.

Deliberate and pre-meditated? How pre-meditated are we talking here? Was he conspiring to do it before the match? Was it in the team talk? Was it a spontaneous idea? No seemed to me like he was trying to run past Cabaye who was impeding his run and accidentally caught him. The only thing hypocritical is is you calling for retrospective action on RVP yet ignoring every other foul also deserving of a card i.e. the stamp on Cleverley. Do I see you on VitalNewcastle harping on about how unjust it was and how it deserved a red? Just another example of something that happens in every game everywhere but highlighted as being something so much more dangerous, calculated and sinister than a common coming together simply because its United.
