'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wake Up Call from Ferguson

Over in Romania tonight, Manchester United supporters will be hoping that United can shake off that lackadaisical approach that has see them under-perform in the first half recently.

Any repeat of such an approach will see United struggle against a Cluj team that should not be taken lightly.

Talking to the media ahead of the game, Sir Alex Ferguson laboured on about just such a point, commenting,

"The first half against Southampton, the first half against Liverpool and the first half on Saturday - we have some work to do in that respect."

"It`s not planned but I think it will be the last. You have to be concerned losing goals the way we did against Tottenham."

"We were well off the pace of the game. I don`t think we won a tackle in the first half."

"Fortunately you saw Manchester United in the second half. It was probably our best performance of the season in the second half."

But the game lasts ninety minutes and any repeat of such lapses will see us struggle, just like last year!

Nice to see Fergie words about slow starts went in one ear and out of the other. At least we managed to pull the game back in our favour
