He`s Back

Last night, in the Capital One Cup tie against Newcastle, many people predicted that Wayne Rooney would be on the bench for the third round tie.

Sir Alex Ferguson had other ideas though and Rooney was selected to start. With his distinctive scar adorning his thigh, Rooney lasted seventy-six minutes before making way for young Nick Powell.

After the game, Rooney enthused about his return, remarking,

"Good to be back? Yes, of course. It has been just over four weeks and I was delighted to be out on the pitch playing. It was a good run-out for me."

"I feel good. Obviously, it`s always difficult on your first game back. But I`m hoping that I am going to feel the benefit."

Will he start in our next Premier League game or will Sir Alex Ferguson exercise caution? I reckon it`ll be a start for our Wayne, how about you?
