Duo Return

Duo Return

Two familiar faces are set to return to the Manchester United squad tomorrow evening.

With United facing Newcastle United in the Capital One Cup (League Cup), we fully expect Sir Alex Ferguson to shuffle his pack.

But, amongst the eighteen selected for the squad will be a familiar duo.

After being out with a badly cut thigh, since August 25th, courtesy of an accidental clash with Fulham`s Hugo Rodallega, Wayne Rooney is set to make a welcome return to competitive action.

In recent days Wayne has stepped up his training and the word from our sources is that he`ll be given a place on the bench as United try to reach the next round.

Also playing a major part in proceedings tomorrow night will be Darren Fletcher with the Scot, who came on as a second half substitute against Galatasaray, set to star for the first time since last November, having made a significant improvement in his fight to stave of a debilitating bowel condition.

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to wish both all the best as they both approach that final stage of their rehabilitation programme.
