Articles relating to the ongoing contract negotiations, of not ongoing as may be the case, between Manchester United and Nani continue to generate column inches.

In fact, in recent weeks, the articles appear to be getting more edgy and give the insinuation that there could very well be a parting of the ways before the start of next season, possibly even as early as January 2013.

So far, since the articles began, we`ve read abut how far apart the two parties are when it comes agreeing a new contract and, yesterday, of how Nani was more than slightly miffed about a possible move to Zenit St Petersburg.

Well it appears that the endless line of articles may be about to come to a close with it being reported today that United have formally told Nani to button it when it comes to contract talk.

It remains to be seen if the reference run of articles does cease though!

Another off topic comment but did anyone see the brazil v china game or at least see the highlights? I've never seen sportsmanship at its worst. Brazil were so smug and arrogant and OTT with their goal celebrations. I could understand it a bit more if the goals truly meant something however this was a friendly against real naff opposition, they showed no dignity or class in victory. I think they need another knock down to earth Olympics football final against Mexico style. Hopefully they get it against Spain, who will surely knock their samba football down a peg or two.

With regards to the article, Nani won't do himself any favours with some of the comments his coming out with lately. Talking about how he's not fussed whether he's at the club just to kick up a stink and make threat about seeing out his contract and leaving on a free when his been sussed and had his bluff called. He should do himself a favour and accept the more than reasonable, arguably flattering considering his current form and consistency issues, as he will never have it so good anywhere else and he evidently wants to stay, embarrassingly desperately so.

He is making a right tit of himself. Should just sign the new deal and shut up before Fergie makes the decision for him. Carrying on like this he's going to get labeled a bad influence and dumped.
