Rooney Absence Set to Shorten?

After assessing the damage caused by the studs of Hugo Rodallega, it was thought that Rooney would be out for between four to eight weeks.

However, could that time be shortened considerably or is caution the buzz word with Rooney now inferring that;

"The injury is going well. It I sup to the doctor. When he declares me fit I`ll be ready."

"It feels good at the minute. The timescale put on it was four weeks. If that is the time they feel I need for the wound to heal properly then that is what I will do. What I don`t want to happen is too come back too early when it is not quite healed and it opens up again first game." That would set me back again another four weeks. Overall, I think at the most I will miss four games."

Let`s hope all parties concerned continue to exercise a cautious approach to this horror injury.

Horror injury? PMSL. It was a cut on his leg ffs.
Bluedub
Horror injury is an exaggeration then again to say it was simply a cut is underestimating the injury.

Ok a gash then. The only reason he can't play is because the stitches will burst open, nothing horrific about it.
