Fletcher Makes Champions League Squad

Fletcher Makes Champions League Squad

Surprising but welcome news!

With those clubs participating in the Champions League having to submit their 25 man squads to UEFA, there was something of a surprise when it came to the revealing of United`s squad.

Nestling amongst the squad was the name of Darren Fletcher.

As you are all aware, Darren has been side-lined with a debilitating illness but could well be heading towards a comeback we all wished for, if his selection in the 25 man squad is anything to go by.

Speaking about his inclusion, Sir Alex Ferguson gave very little away, simply remarking,

"Darren`s back to his normal weight. He comes into the 25-man squad quite easily."

Is that because of his improving fitness? We can only ponder!

Hopefully it's a proper place and not an Owen Hargreaves place. I do hope we see him back.
