Why I Chose Not to Come to United!

Back in the days when the transfer window was still open, the name of the Crystal Palace defender, Nathaniel Clyne, was often mentioned with regards to a move to Old Trafford.

But it was a move that never came off and as we prepare ot face Southampton, this afternoon, with a certain Clyne in their starting eleven, the defender has taken time out to explain why he chose Southampton over Manchester United, commenting,

"I had run out of contract at Palace and there were talks with a few clubs who were looking at me like United. I knew if I came to Southampton I would get lots of game time."

"It is an up and coming club and they have a project here. They do not just want to sit with what they have, they want to push forward for European football."

"Our aim is to stay in the league this year but go on after that."

"Southampton is a very professional club and they work hard on every aspect of the game. I am already enjoying my time here."

He probably is but the chance to join Manchester united only comes once in a lifetime does it not?

Arn't a bad idea anyway, would have faced more competition that he'd never match at united.
serginho
If the lad doesn't think he has the ability to play week in week out and make the RB position his own then maybe mentally he isn't cut out for united anyway.
