'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kagawa Wants the Ball More

Shinji Kagawa certainly impressed on his Old Trafford debut receiving a standing ovation when he was substituted in the second half.

But we`re realistic to accept that these are early days and that Kagawa, once he becomes accustomed to the way of life at Old Trafford, has a lot more in his locker.

Indeed the Japanese international, imported from the Bundesliga, already has a few ideas for his team-mates with regards to him giving more to the team when he remarked after the 3-2 win over Fulham,

"I want to be on the ball more. I want to be busier. We pass the ball sideways a lot but I want my team-mates to pass the ball forward to my feet."

"I need to speak to them about this. I want them to have the confidence to play it up to me, as that`s one of my strengths."

Just give him the ball and let`s see what he can do is what I say!

This will happen once the team get more used to playing with him in the squad integration takes time. Though is good to see he's eager to impress and isn't afraid to tell his teammates what he wants/needs to enable him to play at his best.

I've noticed that for a while now. United uses more of the flank for attacking than the midfield. I think we should give this guy his chance to perform. He's really desperate to hit the ground running.
