A Funny Old Game!
The lure of Old Trafford remains just as strong as ever.
The history attached to our club ensures that professionals year to be invited to play for us and it would seem that our latest acquisition, Alex Buttner, is no different.
Having successfully undertaken a medical yesterday, Alex has remarked to the press how shocked he is to have been given this chance, remarking to the media,
"If a week ago you had told me that, together with Robin Van Persie, I would be playing at United then I`d have driven you straight to the mad house."
On seeing his latest signing put pen-to-paper on a five year deal, Sir Alex Ferguson told the assembled media,
"Alexander is one of the best young full backs in Europe and we`re delighted to sign him, He`s someone we`ve been watching for a while now. He gives us some really exciting options in that position."
It just goes to prove that the familiar saying about football being a 'funny old game` is a lot nearer the truth than you`d ever imagine!
