Earlier this week I was going to bitch about how disappointed I was that United`s Premier League campaign didn`t kick off until Monday night.

I was going to moan about how I`d waited long enough for the big kick-off and how disappointed I was that I`d have to sit through a United free weekend.

Well this morning I`ve changed my tune!

I`m now of the opinion that it is a situation that suits us just fine!

Goodison Park is never an easy place to visit, even if Everton do have a reputation for not starting the season well.

But the acquisition of Robin Van Persie, yesterday, has provided the camp with a massive confidence boost whilst also allowing Sir Alex Ferguson an additional couple of days to allow the Dutch striker to get familiar with his new team-mates whilst also train with them.

All`s well that ends well I`ll say!

I was disappoint that for all the money you pay for skysports there wasn't a single premier league game on to kick start the season.

Did find that very odd had to rely on ESPN

Haven't got ESPN :( thought sky sports alone would've been enough to pay out for to get my fill of football.
