'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City Snatch!

Our adventures in the South American transfer market have reaped rewards in the past and any deal that brings a South American starlet to Old Trafford is greeted with huge anticipation.

Earlier this summer it was muted that United were taking a serious interest in the Universidad de Chile striker Angelo Hernandez.

The 18 year-old netted 12 goals last season and rumours of a £4 million deal were rife.

But, today it is being reported that our noisy-neighbours are now trying to muscle in and are also keen to acquire this emerging talent with City having sent Gary Worthington to watch him recently.

All that remains to be seen is which of us wins the race to bring the lad to Manchester, if indeed that is where he decides to ply his trade in the future!

You really are slow on the uptake RB. both Manchester clubs as well as some others were scouring this kid last year. You're posting this now at 5.00pm, whilst the rest of the media are already saying he's on his way to U*d to do a medical, do try to keep up.
Bluedub
Angelo Henriquez* And as Bluedub said, he's already gone for a medical at United, with wikipedia saying he signed in 2009
Crewdy
Yup as said before he's already undergoing a medical and the deal is currently looking as good as done. The lad looks quite promising, hopefully he fulfills his potential at the club, with hard work and a good attitude I'm sure he will.
TheFamousNo7
And in other news United are stepping up their interest in Shinji Kagawa...
GazToots
Oh look, another youngster with "potential" signs for united. Any one else think the pursuit of Baines, RVP is just a "red herring" to put the fans that no longer believe the old mantra of "Nae value in the market" off the fact that you really have bugger all money?
fifthcolumnblue
Lol nice one GazToots. Though have to say the article title is a bit misleading.
