'If It's Football, It's Vital'

van der Sar Likes It Here

Dutch International supremo-keeper Edwin van der Sar has spoken about wanting to stay on at Old Trafford just that little bit longer.

Whilst not on par with that above-average Danish bloke we once had, Edwin is proving to be an astute signing by Sir Alex, who dragged him away from the perennial failures that are Fulham.

He told the official website: 'I enjoy myself in Manchester. Things are going well, I am happy and there is no reason to think of anything else.'

Another two years for a keeper who is already at that 'well you should slow down a bit' stage. I know the likes of Nigel Martyn went on, possible, but there could be better options!

I'll have to agree with Ferguson, who is looking at a year`s extension. That way we can "groom" Kuszczak to be our new number 1!

This management lark, easy!

Quality keeper who's clearly enjoying his time with you. Worth another two years despite his age IMO.
