Juventus Head Van Persie Race

Any ambitions United harbour relating to luring Robin Van Persie to Old Trafford from Arsenal have been dealt a heavy blow.

Although the Daily Mirror went out on a limb, just recently, inferring that Sir Alex Ferguson had confided in friends that he was sure Van Persie would be wearing our red shirt next season, the wise money is now on the Dutchman moving to Serie A.

It`s being touted that Juventus have out together a package worth 70 million, a package that contains the transfer fee and salary, that is intended to end not only our interest but that of our rivals Manchester City.

Does anyone else get the feeling it might just have done that?

No doubt they'll win it as well. I really can't imagine RVP staying in England out of respect for all arsenal have done for him. If he does stay in England I reckon it will be for city if anyone. Personally don't want him as despite being a fantastic player he's not what the squad needs.

Get a feeling that Wenger would prefer this deal. He won't like RVP going to anyone but to someone in the prem adds insult to injury. Plus he's got to be getting miffed with city sniffing round every player he has by know. Mancini should do the right thing and just admit he's buying the whole Arsenal squad. At this rate Wenger will be his assistant in 3 seasons:-D
