De Gea Heads Back

Two surprise defeats, by Japan and the Honduras, prematurely ended Spain`s chances of adding Olympic glory to their World and European glory.

However, Spain`s unfortunate demise does have a positive effect for United with our first choice keeper, David de Gea, now set to return to Carrington a few days earlier than expected.

Naturally Sir Alex will grant the Spaniard his statutory leave period but we can now expect to see him sooner rather than later.

Won't see too many complaining. Great few years for Spain's senior footballing side can't see them being overly fussed about gold in the Olympics. Some fantastic players in their younger national side.
