Giggs - The Record Breaker

It`s all getting rather interesting this Olympic football tournament.

With Ryan Giggs leading Team GB I feel kind of obliged to keep a sharp eye on events and yesterday my impending vigilance was rewarded when we were treated to a rare sight - a headed Giggs goal.

In fact, with Tom Cleverley orchestrating things in midfield I have to say I enjoyed the whole ninety minutes as Team GB beat a gallant United Arab Emirates side 3-1.

But, returning to that Giggs goal, it puts Ryan in the record books as the oldest player, at 38 years and 243 days to score in Olympic football.

Be interesting to see how long that record remains. Has he broke a record yet for breaking records?
