Scholes Might Have Gone!

Scholes Might Have Gone!

Returning to a subject that was discussed before the Euro 2012 finals, it appears that Paul Scholes would have come out of international retirement to participate.

Speaking to the red-tops this morning, Scholes is quoted as having remarked about the possibility,

"I didn`t regret not going to Euro 2012 because I wasn`t offered the chance."

"Would I have said No? I don`t know. I have no idea really."

"It was flattering to be talked about but I wasn`t asked so it means nothing."

We`ll take that as a yes then!

Well I'm glad he didn't, if Ferdinand didn't have the legs for it then he certainly wouldnt have and it would be us who feel the consequences if he did over exert himself. No doubt he would've easily improved the England midfield and would've fulfilled that Pirlo role the media are crying out for. Funny now they realise the importance of the Scholes/Xavi/Alonso/Pirlo deep lying playmaker, had they realised this sooner and omitted one of fat frank or gerrard England might've played football rather than the route 1 bore the opposition to death tactics they employ now. However I doubt Scholes would've went anyway, the reason he didn't got to the world cup in his own words was due to not feeling right taking someone's place who helped the nation qualify, why would that of changed now?
