Gazumped?

Gazumped?

Seemingly having decided that the price tag applied to Luka Modric, if Spurs were to sell to another Premier League club, is too high, it looks uncertain now s to where the Croatian will end up.

Until this morning I`d have settled on the fact that Modric was bound for Real Madrid but now it`s being inferred that big-spending Paris St Germain are now looking to snatch the twenty-six year-old Croatian from the clutches of Madrid.

Naturally, the price, as the two battle it out, will shoot up and it`ll certainly be interesting to see if the final figure approaches anywhere near the figure Sir Alex baulked at.

Don't think we were ever seriously in for him anyway. I believe most of the interest on our part was just tabloid bull inspired by the fact that we've signed a couple of Spuds players in recent years. No doubt he's a talented player, no doubt Fergie admired him and would've got him if he could however I think he's always known it was never going to happen, Tottenham demand too much.
