Staying Put!

Staying Put!

Could our attempts at luring the teenage Brazilian, Lucas Moura, be floundering?

Well it appears so.

It is now looking as if our latest bid, a bid of something like £26.5 million, has been rejected by the Brazilian club, Sao Paulo.

The bar, if the reports are correct, has been raised to a very hefty £30 million and, discussing the deal, the players` agent, Wagner Ribiero has commented,

"United have reached their limit. He will not leave. He is happy in Sao Paulo."

"This matter has to be terminated; there is no possibility of him leaving now."

"Manchester United made an offer which was refused, and will not do another because they came up to their limit."

Is this the end of the matter?

Stay tuned to find out!

No shock really, I never expected us to sign him anyway and was shocked moreso from the news that we were even interested. Always knew Sao Paulo would demand a fortune for him, fair enough considering the potential he's showing and if he achieves it by todays standards he could be worth double the 30 mil outlay however there's always that chance he would flop and anyone interested would struggle to recoup 10 of the 30 mil. Too much risk involved for the fee being thrown around.
