Lucas Deal Done?

The tabloid press seems to believe that a deal has been done for Lucas Moura.

After it had been reported that United had seen several bids rejected, the gossip today is that a fee of £26 million has been agreed and Moura will become a United player once his Olympic campaign with the Brazilian team, in London 2012, is complete.

Sao Paolo, who have manipulated the situation to their advantage, will be sad to see the 19 year-old go and although the lad will need a 'work permit` it is thought that the transfer fee paid for him will elevate him into the 'special category` status whereby such problems are overcome without too much fuss.

Oh well 26 mil is better than most of the numbers being quoted just hope he's worth it
MotorMad
Looks to be a potential world beater or alternatively could go down as a monumental flop. However, Fergie has already said no deal has been done yet, so whilst 26 mil sounds decent I imagine Sao Paulo would want more than. Personally I think if the interest is serious why not make most of the fee performance and success related? That way we're safe in the event the player doesn't work out.

What's interesting is Fergie making the deal public knowledge when he normally is secretive about the clubs transfer dealings. Can't help but wonder if he's drawing attention to Lucas to detract interest from another player a potential deal.
TheFamousNo7
£26million for a 19y.o. is decent TF7? Wow! Perhaps the old *****can is speaking publically about his targets in an effort to shift some season tickets.
Bluedub
By todays standards Bluedub whereby potential world class talents who have zero premier league experience are costing between 35-40 mil then yeah it's not too bad. Also he's 19 now but he's very closer to 20. Don't get me wrong i'm not saying its brilliant but when you take into consideration over 20-ish year olds like Sanchez will cost Barca up to 34 mil depending on success, Santos are demanding 40+ mil for Neymar, you paid 40 mil for Aguero, Carroll cost 35 mil, etc, etc, 26 mil, which I assume was predominately performance and success related, wouldn't of been too bad. Not that's going to happen anyway as the fee was too good to be true and Sao Paulo did want more, an amount we weren't prepared to offer according to his agent.
TheFamousNo7
Don't agree at all mate. It's a ludicrous sum to pay for a kid.
Bluedub
Ludicrous amounts is seemingly the going rates nowadays....
