Bebe - The Forgotten Man

I guess Bebe will always be known as the player Sir Alex Ferguson paid £7.5 million for without even having seen him play.

His performances in a United shirt have been sporadic and many thought that when he was loaned to Besiktas last season that would be the end of his United career.

Over in Turkey his luck deserted him when he was sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury after a mere four games, the injury coming whilst he was international duty for the Portuguese U21 side.

But pre-season has given him a chance to shine and talking about the player that many seem to have forgotten about, Sir Alex Ferguson had this to say,

"We`ll see how it goes for him but it gives me a headache in terms of the number of strikers we have. But that` snot a bad thing."

Interesting to not that two of our lesser lights, Macheda and now Bebe have grabbed the goals on this tour.

What do you mean forgotten? As if we'd ever be allowed to forget the 7 mil we spunked on a no-one from the lower league of Portugal. Thanks for the recommendation Carlos Queiroz. I hope his first season was just a blip and he actually is more talented then he first showed at least do something so we can recoup some money.
