Ajax Cape Town 1 United 1

Down in South Africa, in the second game of their tour, United were grateful to escape with a draw.

With a somewhat weakened defence, where three of the four were making their competitive debuts, our hosts took the lead lat eon when Alcardo van Graan flicking a shot past Ben Amos.

But United showed their resilience when Carrick provided an injury time opportunity for Bebeto slide home the equaliser.

The game, a decent enough work-out, saw Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell also make United starts with the former going close with an effort that clipped the post.

Fom what I understand and the highlights I saw we were very wasteful with chances with Hernandez missing a couple and Kagawa missing an easy header. Oh well as long as the lads are getting match fit that's all that matters. Well done to Bebe also, hopefully he lives up to his price tag so we can stoeast recoup it :P
