'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I Can`t Ban It!

The social networking site Twitter, has embarrassed a lot of players.

With its ease of accessibility, it remains a popular way to catch the views of the people at the top of their profession, as well as your mates.

But the recent hullabaloo involving a recent tweet about Ashley Cole could have proved serious for Rio Ferdinand.

Sir Alex, talking about Twitter in general, has offered the press the following comments,

"I don`t understand Twitter and don`t know why they do it."

"I can`t understand why people can bother with it."

"But I don`t think we can stop him from tweeting. As long as they don`t talk about the team, and Rio`s well aware of that, it`s OK."

It`s a different generation Sir Alex, a different generation!

I'm with Alex, as much as I try to 'get it' I just don't. 140 characters isn't enough for me to get all my wisdom out !
The Fear
Don't bother with it load of tripe most of it. Can understand with Rio it's the whole celebrity follower thing gives him a way of interaction with fans. Ordinary folk though who cares what the hell people are doing. Fair enough I come on here to air my opinions but don't think anybody really needs or wants to know "Just seen a cat lol!!!!". Seems to me like a **** way to justify your own existence.
MotorMad
Couple of things, first up Twitter didn't embarrass these players, they embarrassed themselves. How Camelgob got away with what he said astounds me, considering the current media campaign for all things racial.
Bluedub
Tried it and just couldn't knack it. I've got my own concerns in life than worry about other peoples. Not too mention the only people who really follow you are porn stars.
TheFamousNo7
Twitter like Facebook is a load of crap. "Stephen Fry took a dump 3 minutes ago" "wow, amazing, incredible we share the same crap cycle, smiley face laugh out load"
