Lucas Moura Update

Dealing with South American clubs always strikes me as being a hit-and-miss affair.

Some deals appear to go relatively smoothly whilst others drag on and on with you never being quite sure if what is going on justifies the end product.

Our interest in Lucas Moura is well documented and it is hoped that the young midfielder can be tempted to be part of the Old Trafford ensemble but, if the information being fed to the tabloid pres sis correct, the smooth progression of the deal might be turning into a bumpy ride.

This morning we`re greeted with the inference that Sao Paulo are trying to entice United into parting with more money than was first thought. Supposedly, United`s latest bid of 29.8 million has been rejected.

We`re now at the stage whereby Sir Alex will have to persuade the money-men to continue the pursuit or simply pull the plug and look for an alternative target.

What`s the opinion of our readership?

I reckon its a load of bull my self. Can't imagine Fergie spending 30 mil on an unproven youngster from brazil and if he did he surely must have more sense that that. Word is it was Sao Paulo themselves that reported it which sounds to me like they're telling a fib to spark a bidding war between other interested parties namely Inter.

Look elsewhere 30 mil we wouldn't spend that on modric. Think your right though Famous does look bit suspect on Soa Paulo's dealings
