Owen Down Under?

Owen Down Under?

Released by Manchester United, after his contract expired, Michael Owen is struggling to find another club in England.

Initial interest from Stoke City appears to have come to nothing but the red-top press is reporting that there is interest from a little further afar.

The Australian club Melbourne Heart are said to be willing to offer Owen a one year contract or, if he prefers a ten game stint. The reasoning behind the latter offer is that it would allow Owen to pursue another club, in England, during the January 2013 transfer window.

Seems like a decent enough proposal to me!

Not too sure whether he'll sell out for massive wages and an easier league or remain at the top of the game in the toughest division. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

Can still do a job at the highest level just needs to stay fit. But Owen now has that reputation for being injury prone. If it wasn't for that clubs would be lining up for him.
