'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More Arrivals?

Apart from Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa, there hasn`t been too many players through the in-door at Old Trafford this season.

But that could change soon with Sir Alex Ferguson, admitting at a press conference to welcome the two aforementioned signings has inferred that number could be doubled by the start of the season, with the boss remarking,

'We could possibly bring one or two more in. When there's a major international tournament on, there's a delay in the transfer market. But now the European Championships are over, we're trying to bring someone in.'

Luka Modric anyone?

I'm more interested in the positions he's thinking of strengthening. With the comments about Powell being signed to play as a central midfielder and Kagawa in more advanced positions I can't see us signing another midfielder or winger and with our current striker contingency, another striker either. The GK position is pretty much sorted as well so it just leaves the defence as the only thing left that Fergie might want to strengthen. A RB or LB or both is predominately what we need the most because with fabio now out on loan we only have 2 natural fullbacks, 1 at LB who may not be around for too much longer and 1 at RB who's young and injury prone and will need cover.
