Welbeck Contract Worry!

Welbeck Contract Worry!

If we believe the press there seems to be a crop of players, at Old Trafford, that are having pay negotiation problems.

Previously we`ve covered how Nani`s demands are not being satisfied and now it appears that Danny Welbeck is also, if the tabloid press have got this correct, encountering problems.

It`s reported that the twenty-one year, currently on £15,000 a week, is looking for his agent to secure a deal worth £60,000 (before bonuses) but that the club are only willing to go as high as £40,000 a week.

With Welbeck about to enter the final year of his contract you`d hope that those behind the scenes, at Old Trafford, will get this one sorted quick as Danny is an outstanding talent we shouldn`t even risk losing.

In the ridiculously overblown world of footballers' wages, £60k per week is a snip. Welbeck still has a lot to prove, but you'd be utterly foolish to lose him over a few grand a week. Really think your poor European performances last season must have really impacted on the balance sheet; why else would you have lost the likes of Pogba & Fryers and be haggling over pennies with Welbeck and NinnY?

All this is just agent's (scum that they are) working the media to get a better deal for themselves. Not the player them. Should try our best to keep hold of welbeck though one of the best prospects in the premiere

Welbeck is good player with the potential to become a quality player. Why the clubs become so tight fisted with the wages it's offering some of out players I don't know whilst other players seem to get money thrown at them. Seems a bit ridiculous that this contract hasn't been tied up already and that we're squabbling over a few thousand pounds, just give him the money he's proven he deserves.
