New York Flotation (2)

Touched on yesterday, the proposed New York Stock Exchange flotation, looks to have been well received by a group that normally opposes most things the Glazers do.

The flotation has been welcomed by the Supporters Trust providing the money raised goes to pay off the debt, a point confirmed by the Chief Executive of the Trust, Duncan Drasdo, who has been quoted in the media as having remarked,

"If it turns out the vast majority of the proceeds are used to pay off the debt that is certainly something we would welcome."

Our thoughts exactly!

Lets just wait and see whether the shares are used to pay of the debt though first, wouldn't surprise me if the Glazers pocketed it or used it to finance their other businesses. If the glazers dont put the money back into the club they will provoke a backlash amongst the fans again just as everythin was beginning to settle.

so if you want to throw your money away, go and buy these 'shares' that the Glazers are trying to sell, you do not get any voting rights, nor any dividend unless the debt is paid and the club wins everything in sight, which is very doubtful, and the Glazers KEEP OVER ALL CONTROL, so unless you are of the extremely biased red persuasion these shares are useless, and you may as well throw your money down the drain..... so is this a good deal? i am no financial wizard, but this is a big con, and should be treated as such...... but there are suckers out there and no doubt they will buy these Rip Off shares...... so all you guys are doing is paying the Glazers debt, not buying in to a club you love... think very long and hard before doing anything.....
