Nani Update (again)

Speculation is still mounting with regards to the future of our Portuguese winger, Nani.

This morning, in the red-top press, the future of the 25 year old once again comes under the microscope.

It`s being inferred that Nani is expected to sort out his future in the next two weeks with talks set to resume relating to previous discussions that had stalled,

The crux of the matter being that United are willing to increase Nani`s salary by 40,000 a week, on top of his rumoured existing salary of 90,000, but this increase doesn`t met Nani`s expectations.

Nani`s current deal doesn`t expire until 2014 so you`d expect there is still time for negotiation although the way the transfer system works, with its two windows, opportunities, don`t be too surprised if something drastic happens in the near future!

Why have this linger? The only clubs that would meet Nanis wage demands and pay the transfer fee associated with him (Juventus, Malaga, PSG, Anzhi) aren't currently interested and if they were they won't be winning anything that is remotely comparable to what we challenge for in the Premier League and Champions League and win. We are as good as its ever going to get for Nani and if he needs a dent to his ego sell him, don't be held to ransom.
