Welbeck Seeks Pay Increase

Welbeck Seeks Pay Increase

One leading Sunday red-top carries an interesting little article today.

It insinuates that Danny Welbeck stalled on contract talks ahead of the Euro 2012 competition in the hope that a decent performance would see his marketability soar.

It also goes on to infer that Welbeck is currently only on a meagre £15,000 a week and is looking towards a new deal that would see him earn a more respectable £40,000 a week.

Now considering that Welbeck is, currently, first choice for club and country I can see he might have a point about wanting a salary rise!

The lads earned it with his performances so far. Personally think he will be a fantastic striker when he develops just needs to add a bit more strength, control and composure to his game.

He still has a lot of work to do especially on his physique and composure plus he needs to be a bit more aggressive on the pitch and really put the *****s up opposing defenders.
