A Modric Update!

The race to land the Spurs midfield schemer, Luka Modric, could be about to heat up.

One red-top paper suggests that Modric is on the verge of handing in a transfer request.

Already linked with the chase for Modric this summer, the inference is that United, if the player was to become available would prefer a straight cash deal, circa £40 million.

But, it seems, our main rivals Real Madrid would be more interested in a player plus cash deal and the red-top offers the insinuation that Real Madrid have already sounded out Modric`s advisors about a move to the Bernabou.

This one could prove interesting!

40 million...... Put up or shut up!!!!

Madrid will get him. Times have changed. Levy is smart enough not to sell to premier league rivals, his stance against Chelsea last year proves this. United cannot afford an outlay of money like that on him anyway.
zombie-greavsie
Levy wont sell to another PL club for less than 40 mil so do one
MrPaddytheyid
Read my lips (not those you perv) Modric is on a 4 year contract, besise which he would not go to play for the Corporation, no way.
Horny Helen
No one wants to join ManUre anymore. Nasri went to City, Hazard went to Chavski, Modders is off to Madrid......

40 mil the Spuds can feck right off he's certainly not worth that. He's a good player no doubt but he's 2nd half of the season performance was poor and he was almost non-existent and doesn't warrant such a high fee. Not that I particularly want him anyway. Let the circus Real be taken for mugs by the Spuds and we should look elsewhere for players who are younger, cheaper and have the potential to be better than Modric, there's plenty out there.
TheFamousNo7
yeah in other words your lot cant afford him, never mind eh, everton are hard up, why not try one of their lads eh?
falmouthyid
Oh there it is again the ignorant you can't afford him argument, some spuds chatting bollox as always.
TheFamousNo7
So can you afford £40m then famousno7?
skins
I'm sure Utd could afford it but whether Fergie would sanction that amount... They were apparently interested at mid £20m's, could probably go to £30m with a player or two chucked in. Would Berba? Would Srurs fans? Levy probably definitely not, lol. Man U got money, look at what they spent last year on that lad? They're a force and Fergie's got clout. Amazing what he did with that squad last year, should've won it... Muppet. If Utd DO get Modric they could still claim us as a feeder club but my money is on Madrid. Even this 20 something eastern european midget has been in UK long enough to know what City are. Manchester and money can't compete with Madrid and Mourinio.
jerkinmahjurgen
so what if he does hand in a transfer request we were still set to sell him anyway, sorry it doesnt get your hopes up but if he does hand a transfer request in it wont improve the likelihood of him moving to manchester, just deal with the fact you have no chance of buying him unless you pay what we want and not what your club, newspapers or fans think is the correct price

40 mil no thanks keep him. He'll be the first of many to jump when AVB upsets the apple cart should have never dumped Harry.
