Capello In Rooney Attack
The fall-out over Rooney`s poor performances at Euro 2012 continue to generate tabloid column inches.
Today, Fabio Capello has jumped onto the Rooney bandwagon and given the striker a broadside by commenting about his form for England,
"I think Rooney only understands Scottish. That`s because he only plays well in Manchester, where Sir Alex Ferguson speaks Scottish."
The quotes appear to be in response to something Rooney said when Roy Hodgson succeeded Fabio as the England manager, following Fabio`s resignation, quotes which went along the lines of,
"There are no words lost in translation and we now understand exactly what the manager wants from us."
"The manager trusts his players, which is obviously a big help to the players."
Get those claws sharpened, as we wait for Rooney to return serve in what is, after all, Wimbledon fortnight.
