Rio to be Kept Waiting!

Although Rio Ferdinand, in the absence of the injured Nemanja Vidic last season, one tabloid resource reports that a contract extension is yet to be forthcoming for the defender.

Instead this tabloid source is inferring that the club is prepared to wait and view how Rio`s form and fitness is, during this coming season, before making a firm decision on whether to offer Rio a new deal as his current contract enters its final year.

Only 1 year deals from now on out for Rio I reckon. He'll have to prove he can keep performing at the highest level and earn another years stay each year.
