'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Not Another Powell Article?

Yes, I`m afraid so!

But this one is needed to correct a situation that was reported wrongly.

We too fell into the pit whereby we believed that the talented teenager would be loaned out once United had secured his signature.

Well it seems that Sir Alex, having paid something like 4 million for the lad is in no rush to loan him and has rebuked all calls he has received from other managers keen to take Powell on loan.

Instead it is now being reported that Sir Alex believes that Powell can emulate another youngster signed last close-season, in Phil Jones, buy playing a significant role in the first team next season.

Now that`s confidence for you!

Would be chuffed to see that. Glad he's not being loaned out, he can learn a lot more from playing alongside Giggs and Scholes than he ever will out on loan, maybe a loan in the future but at the moment let him learn from those who might not be playing football for much longer.
