Bound for Stoke?

Bound for Stoke?

It is a rumour that has been mentioned before but one that is fast gathering momentum now.

Michael Owen, released by Manchester united at the end of the season, is attracting further attention from Stoke with Tony Pulis remarking about any possible deal,

"We`re monitoring him, so it`s a case of waiting to see what happens. We tried to find out what he was doing a couple of years ago. But nothing came of it."

"Everyone knows Michael`s pedigree and the fact that he has performed with such distinction at the highest level, for club and country."

With Stoke listed as the Premier League`s lowest scorers last season, amassing a mere 36 goals, they could certainly do with a pedigree striker but Owen`s bad luck with injuries could prove to be a decisive factor here.

Probably about his level before he signed for us. If he can stay injury free it's probably still about his level. Best of luck to him and thanks for everything Michael.
