Has the Quest Been Made Harder?

Has the Quest Been Made Harder?

With Harry Redknapp having left Tottenham, you have to ask whether our quest to buy Luka Modric just got a whole lot harder!

Without a manager to offer guidance on the situation, I have this gut feeling that Daniel Levy will do his utmost to ensure his club isn`t asset stripped ahead of the appointment of the new boss.

United may tempt Spurs with an increased offer for the Croatian bur I reckon he`ll play hard-ball and that United may well be better served looking elsewhere.

Does anyone else share that opinion?

Hopefully as I don't want him anyway. Let's put it this way, why would Fergie attempt to get him now when he's 2 years older than when we were originally interested? Why wait 2 years longer meaning 2 years less service to the club and when he's signed a long contract and in his prime when tottenham can demand the most for him? There's better options out there and we would be better off looking for the next Modric or Sneijder (if they have the potential to be one of these then they should also have the current ability to make an impact on the first team at a young age whilst they develop their game) and getting him far cheaper than the current one. Reckon the Spuds could end up being better off having fired 'Arry 'ball bag face' Redknapp if they make the right appointment and get someone who fits their attack philosophy but also has man management and tactical skills.

We've also been linked with Papadopoulous (if that's how you spell it!) who looks like a potential world beater at CB. Wouldn't be a bad signing at all and when you take into consideration Vidic and Ferdinands injury record he would get plenty of game time. Still a couple of fullbacks wouldn't go a miss...
