Baines Shock!

Our quest to secure the services of the Everton left-back, Leighton Baines, is well documented.

But if Baines were to come to Old Trafford, from Goodison Park, there could be ramifications.

The insinuation by one leading Sunday tabloid is that if such a move were to materialise then the much-respected Everton manager, David Moyes, could opt for pastures anew!

I'll be shocked if we sign Baines at all to be honest. Moyes wants to be in control so I wouldn't blame him if the club hierarchy goes behind his back and started doing transfer dealings without his consent and leaves everton because of it.

I'm sure Moyes threatened to walk out on Everton over the sale of Lescott too, but it never happened. No offence to Everton, but if their manager throws a hissy-fit every time his club decide to sell a player, then wouldn't they be better off without him?

Fair point fcb.

perhaps he has had enough though and senses an opportunity elsewhere!

Are you suggesting Moyes for Chelsea Merlin? He's been a consistently decent manager on a tight budget for the Toffees, but would the Chelsea fans be open to the idea?
