'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Young Tips England for Glory!

The English public, prompted by the media, are not giving England much chance when it comes to the Euro 2012 Finals.

The national side, hampered by injuries, are expected to be eliminated early but our very own Ashley Young reckons that England can pull off a surprise commenting in the build-up to our first fixture, against France, on Monday,

"We wouldn`t be going if we didn`t think we could win."

"There are obviously a lot of good teams that have qualified and we`re one of them."

"We qualified in a great way with everyone full of confidence, playing some great football."

"As long as we keep that going we have a great chance of winning the tournament."

That`s the spirit, you just never know!

I hope he plays well and establishes his position. My only dislike of the guy is he goes down to easily but he has a great talent.

Glory for England would be coming home with a single point from our group stage :P in all seriousness we would do well to get out of our group, from there nothing else is overachieving.

It's not the media that's creating the lack of optimism about the England squad - it's the strange decisions by the manager, the lack of talent in the squad and the negative football they seem to be set up to play. As Famous says, England will do well to get a point out of the group.

Lampard telling England they should take inspiration from Chelsea for feck sake. Lampard shut up you muppet no-one wants to watch backs to the wall defensive play for 90 minutes and a load of luck to go with it. I'd sooner see England lose and play entertaining football than win by boring the opposition to death. Heck, considering Chelsea's league performance the Chelsea model is hardly one to take inspiration from now is it?
